Milander's answer: It's a tv show, he's whatever lawyer the current episode needs him to be whether it's environmental law, criminal law, libel/slander law, etc... It is not an intelligent show in regard to how legal practices actually work.

Milander's response: You have to be on his insurance otherwise you will be driving the car illegally, without insurance. It is not difficult at all for him to add you but it will cost more. Also insurance is not transferable, it is given on an idividual basis.
