I am 16 I have to get surgery but I don't want too who has the final say ? The minor or the parent ?

You always have the final say, no one can force you to have the surgery if you don't want to... but a slow death from ovarian cancer which is extremely painful and very degrading is perhaps something best avoided. If you are being advised to have the surgery but are unsure about whether it is necessary or not you need to talk to your doctor/physician about it. In all honesty no one undergoes surgery without a serious medical reason and if you are 16 and have good, well meaning parents then in all likelehood it is being done for your benefit. However you have the right to refuse the surgery if you feel you do not want it done.

Personally speaking, if I had a cyst on my balls I'd want it gone and if my wife had a cyst on her ovaries she'd want it gone too.. that sh*t is nasty and can become cancerous if it isn't sorted out. Your choice though...
