I got an FBI warning after clicking on a advertised porn site( I know it is a bad habit and I've been trying to break it) and a popup said 100 dollar fine and then it said either locations or ways to pay and I hit the home-button and it all went away. It did not lock my iPod and I have gotten no other warnings. Was this real or a scam? I am really quite scared about all of this since it doesn't look like other fbi scams. Help!

Hi. First, you must take out your battery. Before doing that listen hold the power button and volume down when you see the logo on your screen you must do it again hold the power button and volume down you should appear in safe mode. After that, you must know what has been download on your phone and uninstall that. Then hold the power button and restart your phone. Your phone should work. This is for android but could work for iPhone.
Yes it is real, and if you don't act quickly your iPod will be shut down. I have experienced this same thing myself and because i didn't do anything about it my iPhone was shut down and now I cannot access my phone. I suggest you call the site you were on and ask them about the adverts that they put on their site.
If you've received a warning on your iPod claiming to be from the FBI, it's essential to approach it with caution and skepticism. Here are some steps you can take to assess the situation:
Do Not Panic: Stay calm and avoid taking any immediate actions prompted by the warning.
Verify the Source: Legitimate warnings or notifications from law enforcement agencies are typically not delivered via pop-ups on devices like iPods. The FBI or other law enforcement agencies usually do not use such methods to communicate with individuals.
Do Not Click on Anything: Avoid clicking on any links, buttons, or pop-ups within the warning message. Clicking on these could potentially lead to further issues, such as malware installation or phishing attempts.
Perform a Security Scan: If you suspect your device may be compromised, run a reputable antivirus or antimalware scan to check for any malicious software.
Contact Apple Support: Reach out to Apple Support for assistance if you're unsure about the legitimacy of the warning or if you suspect your device may be compromised.
Stay Informed: Keep yourself updated on common scams and phishing techniques to recognize and avoid potential threats in the future.
Report Suspicious Activity: If you believe you've encountered a scam or malicious activity, you can report it to the appropriate authorities, such as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) or the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
Remember, it's always better to err on the side of caution when dealing with suspicious messages or warnings on your devices. Take steps to verify the legitimacy of the warning and protect your device and personal information accordingly.
