I got an FBI warning after clicking on a advertised porn site( I know it is a bad habit and I've been trying to break it) and a popup said 100 dollar fine and then it said either locations or ways to pay and I hit the home-button and it all went away. It did not lock my iPod and I have gotten no other warnings. Was this real or a scam? I am really quite scared about all of this since it doesn't look like other fbi scams. Help!

The FBI will not lock your phone. If you are a wanted person they sent an agent and then you get arrested and with cyber crimes they seize your device or devices.I'm an older person and knew this was a scam but it ruined my Galaxy phone even after the malware was removed. The FBI is working on this because the scammers are using their logo and official looking documents. Bear in mind the FBI never asks you for money they are an investigative agency. I hope the FBI or whatever agency will stop this. I'm sure many people have sent money to these crooks who are not even in the USA.
I mean you could actually report the problem to the FBI {we dont have fbi here} because theyre in a way of Impersonating the Federal Bureau. Its fraud
THESE ARE SCAMS! If u type in "FBI Block Browser Scams and Viruses" u should get a long list of search results explaining in detail on how these are elaborate scams and viruses created to hack your personal data. You'll also find info on what to do when this happens and tips on how to remove these viruses from your device. Goodluck!
Something like this happened to me, I was on google then an Add came up saying I am being monitored for watching illegal porn (Idk what that means) it gave my city and my name and said I will be arrested but Nothing happened. It said I can face jail time about 5 years if I don't pay. I am 16 btw
It's fake, also can someone help me? I have an Android phone (Motorola Moto G XT1045) and I keep receiving texts with links to porn sites that say their from my Phone Carrier when their obviously not, is there a way to stop the stupid texts? It's seriously pissing me off and idk why the hell I am receiving them, I rarely ever share my phone number with online sites and never with porn sites or obvious scam sites. I only share it with trusted sites like Google.
Also this whole fib scam is the reason I switched to Android, also the fact that I once owned an iPhone 4s that I found and updated it and couldn't sign back into it and then destroyed it.
I'm actually terrified I got this FBI warning on my screen after going on this porn site and I can't shut off my phone or anything I did some research on my tablet and most of them say it's moneymaker virus but mine doesn't say anything about money paki it talked about a one vanilla card please someone help.
Chris how did you get it off your phone mine is doing the same thing
according to Microsoft there is as of 10/19/16 there is no defense for this malware yet. But they are working on it. I have been a Microsoft customer since the 90's and they have the best people working for them.
Yes something like this just happened to me about a few minutes ago, I live in the UK and it said the exact same words etc, I was on porn then I accidentally clicked on an advertisement then it said all this crap like if you don't pay a fine of 200 pounds ($100) all your stuff will be erased from your iPhone4 within the next 24 hours and it said my internet was blocked even though it was only safari and not nothing else like Xbox Live on my 360 or my messenger app on my phone it was annoying then I managed to get rid of it I also suffer from anxiety and depression and I had a panic attack :( but yeah I'm legit praying to god it was just some bullcrap and not true lol please message back as I'm also searching for answers :]

it's a scam....The FBI doesn't operate that way. They get away with it for a little while and then they restart with a new scam. If you doubt me call your local FBI office.
correct..I did so and the lady explained that they never send people e mails and lock your device...this malware is very dangerous. I have removed it and it ruined my phone despite the fact that it's gone. It deleted my contacts and many apps. I live on social security and now have to buy a new phone.
I just had this scam happen to me. The FBI never sends emails demanding money and telling you to buy a certain debit card. If they want you they come banging on your door. I have no idea where this virus came from but I had to pay $50 to get rid of it. I'm still upset because this virus locked my phone and demanded I pay $500 or go to jail. I don't watch porn and somehow a porn player was installed. I never noticed it until the tech support company had me look on my phone's running apps. There it was I think it's called simply pornplayer. I am shopping for a medicare plan and get hundreds of e mails. Be careful!!! If you find strange apps on your device remove them.
Okay so im a girl lol and rescently looked up a few things my uh well friends have told me to search and i got the same notification and started freaking out, it wouldnt go away and my phone has been turning on and off alot.
