I got an FBI warning after clicking on a advertised porn site( I know it is a bad habit and I've been trying to break it) and a popup said 100 dollar fine and then it said either locations or ways to pay and I hit the home-button and it all went away. It did not lock my iPod and I have gotten no other warnings. Was this real or a scam? I am really quite scared about all of this since it doesn't look like other fbi scams. Help!

bruh its obvioulsy a scam. there was this popup ad and when i clicked the x button it took me to this porn site (bruh im f**king 12) and then redirected me to an fbi warning. it said to pay $1000 as a fine or the police will be sent to my address. DUDE I LIVE IN CANADA THERE IS NO FBI ONLY RCMP DUMBA$$.
OMG I am sooooooooo relieved to here that a bunch of people got the same thing. I was watching YouTube and I accidentally click on a stupid add that popped up last second. Then the fbi thing popped up I was so scared and even when I shut my phone down it was still there when I went back to Safari. Siri saved me. I just asked her to google something random and it went away
That happened to me also! I'm only 15 and I accidentally clicked on an add that took me to a porn website. I was just about to leave when some FBI warning popped up on my screen. It said something about it being illegal to view porn websites, and fined me $500, as long with saying that I had 24 hours or I'd had to go to jail. I don't have the money, and I freaked out pretty badly. Eventually clicking "OK" caused the warning to go away. It's been a couple hours since it happened and I'm really worried! It could be a fake, but if it's real, I'm so screwed! I also need to know if it's a scam!
The same thing happened to me, last night. I'm still scared if police will come. So I was looking for this website my friend told me about where she gets her "it". I was about to close it until the warning pops up. I skimmed through it, only seeing my "address and all that" above and that I was caught looking at child porn/rape/exct. I panicked and hit OK, then cancel and it all went away. So far all I did was clear my history and website data. I'm still shaking a bit, to think I might get arrested but reading all this makes me feel comfortable. Still that possibility. I am only a young child, I want to see if anyone had the same experience and if there ok today. Please help.

I clicked on an ad in a physics simulation game by accident, and it took me to a random website, which promptly gave me this warning. I was scared at first, even though I am not guilty of any of that, including 'female orgasms', which I'm fairly sure was made up on the spot to sound like a porn-related crime. If you think of this from a legal standpoint, it all falls apart. The FBI cannot look at the data on your phone without a letter of certification, and if they do, it's a crime on their part. The part about your name
and location is obviously an Internet parlor trick relying on location services and any account you're logged in on. They want your credit card number so they can get money, and you don't ask where it went. It even becomes laughable when they say you're being audio and video recorded, because that's illegal as well, and a lot of times, you need a virus on their device to do that, and not the simple one you are saying you got, a full-on Trojan. This ad is completely fake.
Hey guys, I am really scared right now! This is the second time this has happened to me and I am freaking out because it was different this time. I got scared when I piped up and all I could see was you are accused of illegal porn and I quit out and cleared my history as fast as I could. It said something about a fine and prison and I don't know what to do. I'm having trouble sleeping and I know I did nothing wrong I went on this website called yeptube and this happened it was nothing underage or anything. I don't know what to do is this real!?!?!? Also, at the top it had my town and some other code or set of numbers is this possible in a scam! Please answer asap, I don't know what I'm going to do I have my whole life ahead of me and I am so scared right now. Does the FBI have pop ups like this? I'm freaking out right now.
FBI has brought this to NBC news and said this is not them. Think about it, have you ever actually seen anything on the internet it said you were watching- NO! The government blocks this completely. This is still a virus and must be taken seriously. The WORST THIBG YOU CAN DO IS PAY THE FINE. RESTART YOUR DEVICE AND TAKE ALL CREDIT CARD INFORMATION OFF OF YOUR DEVICE.
Yes it is a scam. This happened to me when I also clicked on a porn ad (but by accident) and I got a popup saying iit was from the FBI and I had to pay 500 dollars for watching banned child porn. It said if I didn't pay the money in 24hrs they would remove everything on my apple ID and I would go to jail for up to 10 yrs. At first I started to panic but as I read deeper into the popup (it was really freakin long(that's what she said)) I noticed about 10 different grammar mistakes and it wanted me to pay my money to a company called moneypak and it said not to activate any gift cards to pay for it so I knew this wasn't real. So, in short, it is a scam and you are fine. Just go into settings, then under safari hit clear website data and it will all disappear.
They legally can't use facial recognition unless you are wanted for a crime. Even then courts usually don't accept it. The main point is this FBI malware is nothing but a scam. If you are worried call your local FBI office. They are well aware of this scam and are doing their best to stop it. This is a waste of their valuable time especially for agents. I have nothing but respect for this agency since my late father worked for the government in a classified department.
I got the same pop up moments ago but instead they claimed to be the US Marshals. However, towards the end of the pop up they suggested places as to where I can buy a prepaid card and send them money and if I didn't pay the $200+ dollars in a matter of 24hrs I will be arrested and possibly face jail time of 3-11yrs depending on the offense. I was watching porn but none of it was illegal, cougar porn to be exact, but it said I was watching child pornography and there was indeed no children. That's absolutely disgusting and it freaked me out. If it's asking for money it's a scam, correct? I'm just a little freaked out because I'm 18 and this was the second time I've ever watched porn, I was curious. This is a scam, right?
You have nothing to worry about I actually looked up illegal porn not knowing it was illegal, couple minutes later I look at my open sites a message says pay a $2500 fine in 24 hours so I hid my phone at my stepbrothers house deleted everything pornographic signed out of everything and let my phone go dead. It's been nearly a week and nothing happened. So you have no reason to worry.

same exact thing happened to me, but its a fake, so you dont have to worry about it. It did scare me when it stated my exact city and address, but its only a scammer wanting your money.
