Response posted by DinosaurDancing123 3+ months ago: Most likely, the mother is somewhere watching you get close to the nest. As long as you don't repeatedly go by the nest, the mother will continue to feed her babies. Messing with any birds or eggs can force the mother to feel that her babies are in too much danger, and will abandon the nest.
