How are electric cars better than gas cars for the environment?

scottyg1968's answer: There is still an electric plant somewhere that is burning coal or oil to supply that elecricity. So a little better for the environment but not as much as we want.
What does it mean when people say mid month? as in mid October. Does it mean Oct 15 or Oct 10 to20?

scottyg1968's response: even though the USA was not an established country. They were still unified colonies that banded together and fought off the British and German Hessians. The French also aided the colonies during the war.
