That's what I was told as a child, does this still apply, even when your parent don't honor you?

Ephesians 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
"Honor" means give them some money. Jesus scolded the Pharisees because they told the young people it was ok to give the money to the temple, leaving their old folks in poverty. The promise of the commandment is that old people will be supported when they can't work any longer.
Parents have a responsibility to take care of the children and see that they are properly trained, not just punish them all the time.
It depends on how you define the word honor. Setting rules, standards, parameters, etc for you to live within and having you follow house rules in not dishonoring you.
Telling you to go to church or asking you to complete school when you want to quit to be a gamer is not dishonoring you.
Physical, verbal, emotional abuse is dishonoring you. Preventing you from having a normal teen life could be a problem. If abuse as i described it is happening then report it to your school and by law they have to report it to have it investigated.
Good luck!
