Make sure the volume is not turned down and the TV is not muted. Check that the audio cable connectors are firmly connected. If your TV is set up to run the audio solely through an external speaker system, make certain the external system is turned on and its volume is turned up. Navigate to the Audio part of the Settings menu and check that the TV is not set to play SAP (secondary audio program) audio. If the audio is set to SAP, there may not be an SAP feed.
Otherwise, call the manufacturer helpline and ask them how to diagnose the problem. You can also call a local TV repair shop for an idea of what is going on and what it would cost to repair.
