Existentialism
Existentialism is a tradition of philosophical inquiry associated mainly with certain 19th and 20th-century European philosophers who, despite profound doctrinal differences, shared the belief that philosophical thinking begins with the human subject—not merely the thinking subject, but the acting, feeling, living human individual. Philosophy is a field where there is no standard of truth. Everything a philosopher says is something he made up or memorized from someone else who made it up. You might have noticed that when you look up a definition, you still don't quite understand the concept. The various theories are given names so you can talk about them without ever noticing that nobody is actually saying anything, merely quoting famous people's made-up baloney.
The grade you get in your philosophy class depends mostly on memorizing the baloney. Don't try to understand it.
