Would you be annoyed if you find out your wife had arranged a play date with your son and a dude and his son to go swimming, but didn't tell you about it?
I know for certain nothing has gone on at all, but the swimming pool is at a hotel up the road from us he is staying at whilst his house sale is finalized for a few days.
He's always creeped me out as his wife (they've divorced) really wanted rid of him and he only has his kid once a month - and the fact he's staying in a hotel, despite having a property here he's selling - surely he would of stayed with his mates or family here for the few days he's waiting for the house sale?
I am not possessive at all, infact every girlfriend I've had I've thrown money at and told them to go out with their friends and enjoy themselves, but I've told her to text him and say she's working.
Did I do the right thing or am I being paranoid?

If you know for certain that nothing happened then what are you being paranoid about?
If you know for certain that nothing happened then why are you saying you distrust her?
If you know for certain nothing happened then why are you ordering her around and telling her to lie?
Because your actions say you think she did sleep with him or wants to sleep with him.
And how do you "know for certain" were you hiding and watching or did you have someone else planted there
observing them? Because you can't be basing it on her denial, you don't trust her.
And in answer to your question if she told me about it afterward I'd be fine with it. Not telling me would cause a problem.
