I receive Social Security Disability Insurance and can only earn so much money (less than the SGA amount of 2016) to keep my Social Security Disability Insurance. I am a new-hire at Amazon and was told that I would be paid a shift differential because my hours are on the weekends only. However, although I would like to keep the shift differential, I am worried that Amazon would not cut my hours. If they would not be willing to cut my hours, I am not sure if I would be able to opt out of the shift differential pay in order to keep my Social Security Disability Insurance and not make too much money. My Medicare and Medicaid pay for one of my medications, which is a shot that costs over $2,000. If I lose my Social Security Disability Insurance, I could keep my Medicare for another 93 months or more, but I would eventually lose my Medicare. I plan to take this shot way longer than 7-8 years, so it would not be smart for me to lose my Social Securuty Disability Insurance. Does anyone know if Amazon would be willing to cut my hours or opt me out of differential pay if I can only earn so much money (under the SGA amount of 2016) to keep my Social Security Disability Insurance?
Would Amazon cut hours and/or pay for its employees whom receieve Social Security Disability?
