Would a jellyfish be likely to leave behind a fossil?

That has been known to happen, but it is only by accident that anybody finds it. One fellow was chiseling a skeleton out of solid rock and for some reason he splashed water on it. He noticed a ring in the stone that was only visible when it was wet. So he chiseled along the line and eventually realized that it was the fossilized skin of the beast.
