My son goes everywere with his German Shepherd. He left his dog in the car for several hours. Was sited for cruilty to animals because the dog was "whining, shaking and unprotected..." This is a full grown shepherd.

But when the animal is kept indoors otherwise it may never grows his winter coat as he would if he was kept in a dog house, thereby not having adequate protection from the cold
