I have two cats and they both have had their front claws taken out a few years ago and they're fine. But now my parents are having their back claws taken out and I'm really worried about how they would scratch themselves if they had an itch or something on them. Also I've heard it messes up their balance, and one of my cats jumps on the doors and stuff and I'm afraid that after he wouldn't be able to. I'm worried also about how the recovery would be because they were first declawed when they were a few months old and now they're older and kind of fat and I feel like it would be more painful when they jump and walk because of their weight. Any answer would be appreciated, thanks. (:

I am not going to say anything about the front being taking out because it has already happend. Is your cat extremely aggressive? Cats never use their back claws to attack unless very aggressive and not will they scratch up furniture that is really wrong to get both done. DO NOT DO THIS!!!! Your cat will thank you.
