I got an enormous gash on the area between my hip and my thigh yesterday. Its 4.5 inches wide and more than 1/2 inch deep. It hit the femoral artery. I lost more than 3/4 of a gallon of blood (about 60% of my total. I was barely able to stand, everything was blurry and i was barely concious). I had to cauterize it three separate times before the bleeding would stop. (But dont worry, it DID stop) now today, it keeps on reopening. Is there any way to stop this? I want to be able to walk around without it continuously trickling. Its slow, but annoying. Is there any way to stop this from happening? (I refuse to go back to the hospital, because they did not do anything i couldnt have done at home, i also refuse to re-re-re-cauterize it, because i already did that three times, and its already all charred up. I also refuse to put salt on it, because i already did that 4 times. I also cannot tournicate it, because as i said earlier, its on the lower front part of my hip(also, its not severe enough for that. It stopped squirting. It is only a slow trickle) what should i do? I just want to find a way to stop it from reopening, and a way to stop he last little bit of bleeding.
