And so on. As one fellow put it, "How do you know what feels good? Maybe you only THINK it feels good!"
Prayer can be very comforting, it expresses what's in our hearts. The Bible says this about God "O Hearer of prayer, to you people of all sorts will come." Psalm 65:2
As a result He provides comfort for us, because He is a "God of all comfort," states
2 Corinthians 1:4
The Bible also says God has a solution for the challenges we face today, but we need to read it in order to find out what they are. John 17:3

Prayer is the only way to deal with challenges that we face. Without prayer, we are helpless, but prayer makes us feel the presence of the Divine. It makes us conscious that God is not far away, God is with us all the time. It is prayer that gives us the confidence that God is kind, God loves us and we are nothing but a manifestation of God. Depending on what level of prayer we are at, we can face life fearlessly without stress, worry and anxiety. For the one who has evolved in prayers, there are no problems, no challenges, because that person learns to surrender, to accept the Divine will; that person’s prayer is not asking for something, but only thanking God for his Divine will. We must evolve in our prayer to realize God within. That is true prayer, to become conscious of God in the temple of our heart.
Prayer is a very important activity of life, but we must understand the true meaning of prayer. It is not about praying to some unknown God and chanting some unknown chant and mantra and hymns which we don't understand. True prayer is communicating with the Divine. God lives in the temple of our heart, true prayer is silence, listening to God's voice, sharing everything with God. True prayer is living in union, in yoga, becoming one with the Divine.
