I'm thinking about renting a car when I fly to Burbank, CA but I know that I have a low credit score. I have about $1,500 on my VISA Debit Card and I have also never had a problem renting an apartment. (Been living in apartments for the past 4 years and I have never had to pay extra for having low credit score).
Thanks for the advice!
With a low credit score, is it more difficult to rent a car or an apartment?

They've never run my credit when I've rented cars.
I'm sorry, I didn't read your question properly. With a debit card, instead of a credit card, that changes things. Yeah, they might need to run a credit report in that case. You should really get a credit card. I think Capital One has programs for those with little credit.
Thanks! I've been trying to do some research and some sources are saying that I may not be able to rent a car using my debit card because they run a credit check.
Thanks a bunch!
