So my friend has mono (didn't know at the time) and took one sip from my can. After that I didn't take any sips from the can for some odd reason and decided to our the soda into a cup. What are the odds I get mono?
Will one sip give me mono? Did not share the same can?

Mono is spread many ways. Many think it's just from kissing. Well if you think about it. Some back saliva goes back into the can or glass or bottle when we drink. So even though you pour it into the glass if they drank out of it before you then the mono virus still could have been transmitted into your mouth and your body. When I was in school a student got mono and it spread they claim it was spread by the shared drinking fountain . It's always good to pour into glass before anyone drink from the bottle or cans if going to share . It also good to have a good supply of wipe ems to wipe down any public shared drinking fountain. Virus spreads many ways. So always use caution. As for is odds of having mono I would say 50-50 odds.
