The other night he and his friend were in a car accident because his friend was driving under the influence. He was not intoxicated from what I understand and offered to drive his friend back to base and his friend refused. Now my fiance has to fill out a statement for the Corps and he is worried that he could get discharged because he did not drive the friend home, although he offered. I am not sure how much you know about military laws, but what do you think may happen? He has not had any other offences and have only been in for 2 years

well they might seek more information he will have to explain his part of what he saw and what he offered to do and why it didn't happen his friend could get in alot of trouble but i don't think they will hold him responsible for something that he offered to do and was turned down when he offered just tell him to explain it the best he can and tell the truth he should be okay
I have been trying to tell him that. I know his friend may not get in the much trouble only because he is almost done with the military... I think he has a few more weeks. I just dont see why they would discharge him for something that really wasnt his fault. He is just worried. Thank though :)
