Will lime stone melt icy drveway?

Yes, if it's warm. You don't really say what you are talking about. You use salt to melt ice, and preferably a calcium salt so it doesn't rust the cars. You use sand and/or crushed cinders to improve traction. I really don't know what you are thinking with this limestone idea.
