Since the start of the year, I have made some healthy changes to my lifestyle and that includes eating healthy meals and exercising. I have put on about 10kg in the past few years and I have lost about 2kg and need to lose 8 more. I was just wondering if my workout routine is correct for weight loss. I dont do any weight training. I am mainly focusing on cardio and since my hips and thighs are my main problem areas, I work out on the stationary bike since that kind of tones my thighs and I do so for one hour 3 times a week and lose slightly more than 500 calories per workout. Is this routine good for weight loss? I am not worried about losing the weight rapidly by the way. I prefer to lose it 'slowly' so that I can maintain the weight loss afterwards. Thanks.

Yes of course doing this routine can help you , However , try to do other cardio such as treadmill or rowing . This will help to burn more calories better as you get your lower body & upper body to move . Stationary bike does tone your thigh but only under high intensity workout . It is also recommended to do light weight exercise to lose weight as it increase body metabolism , which would in turn burn more calories while not doing exercises , this will greatly help you to maintain your weight

Eating habit & little exercise will make you loose weight. Since you have lost 2kg, that means you are doing perfectly right. Make sure you will concentrate on it to fulfill & reduce little bit. And continue it till you won't get the satisfaction terms of weight .

I am also on my weight loss and using an herbal formula "beyond weight management tea" for it, it is an exclusively herbal blend of secretsoftea.com which stimulates the metabolism and hence helps reducing weight. give it a try of you are aiming for more concrete and long lasting weight loss.
