So I'm female, 19 years old, 5ft 5inches, and I weigh 14stone :O previously i was doing no exercise (I hardly left the house) and I ate 80% fatty sugary foods. My family and I love pasta so we ate a lot of it with cheese and all. We also went to get chocolate most nights.
As of 3 days ago I have been watching my calories and having been eating between 1500-1800 calories. I've also been avoiding foods such as chocolate, cake, biscuits, cheese, butter, crisps and other oily/fatty/sugary foods. I've been avoiding pasta, and I've cut down on bread a lot. Ive also been watching portion sizes where as before I always ate till I was very full. I've started going for 30 minute walks each day (I can't jog as I have a large chest area and it can be painful). I've also been doing around 40 mins of pilates each day. Will this make me lose weight? Also is rice better than pasta?

You need to read some books about nutrition so you know how to eat right. Fat is made of carbon and hydrogen. The only way it comes out of the body is if it is turned into carbon dioxide and water and then it comes out through the lungs. So that involves a lot of heavy breathing, and that means jogging or aerobic dancing. Walking is good. I know several people who walked off excess pounds. Figure on losing one pound per week when you are doing things right.
Yes such a thing you mention is effective but not much more or not help you to loosing weight fast. It long time process. With the help of some medicine like ocidac HCG pregnyl, Reductil etc. and as you mention activity gives you much better and much faster results.
