Will a person go to a prison for smoking cannabis or having it in his pocket in California US ?

yea cause it isn't legal in california as i know it wouldn't surprise me if calif becomes legal then you wouln't have any issues but till they do you have to be carefull not to get caught smoking it or having it on you
