I ended up with a chunk missing from the cuticle of one of my fingernails due to a macaw who was in a bad mood. The chunk missing is about a millimeter and a half wide and it went right through the cuticle to where the root of my fingernail is visible. The bite itself is healing fine but when the scab fell off I saw just how deep it went. Is this likely to cause my nail to grow back deformed? I've never had a deep slice like this in my nails and don't know how a nail would grow from a badly scarred cuticle.
