According to Islam men are rewarded in the after life according to their true faith and righteous deeds in this life. Then what about a child that died before accumulating any reward to its credit?

Ever since Adam sinned, death has ruled as a king over humanity. It has been an invincible enemy, the inescapable end for sinful humans, the source of immeasurable sorrow and grief. (Rom. 5:12, 14) In fact, “for fear of death,” millions are “subject to slavery all through their lives.”—Heb. 2:15.
What hope is there for those that have died? The Bible assures us that there will be a "resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous". Where will this resurrection take place? Here on earth. How do we know? Throughout the scriptures numerous references are made to life everlasting on earth. For example, Psalm 37 v 29 says
The righteous will possess the earth,
And they will live forever on it.
Comforting indeed is the hope of the resurrection. Daniel 12:2 touches on it, saying: “There will be many of those asleep in the ground of dust who will wake up, these to indefinitely lasting life and those to reproaches and to indefinitely lasting abhorrence.” Yes, whatever the age, man, woman, child or baby. These words may well remind us of Jesus Christ’s moving promise of a general resurrection. (John 5:28, 29) What a thrilling hope! Just think of beloved friends and family—now dead—given a chance to live again in the future!
