So question for you.... If ethernet cable is connected to the back of the computer the Internet works but it if you try to connect to per say a Xbox it will not work. We had wifi then someone unhooked the router and now we try to hook up the router and devices will find it but it says it is blocked. Do you have any idea what we are doing wrong?

Ur pc is set up with an ip address provided by the ethernet service providers. So ur pc detects the ethernet cable and fully uses it. But ur xbox is not set up with the ip address. So it wont work with the xbox. It would be better if u call over the ethernet people and set up a router properly and use wifi in ur xbox. Problem will be solved.
