Music is important because of its sacredness. Music was originally created by the celestial rulers and then recreated by mankind in his image. It is ancient and modern at the same time. Music is a living breathing entity that inhabits not just the space we perceive but others as well. I always like music but I really was "into" it until my failed suicide attempt during the last year of high school. In 2009. I always liked music. My father and mother got me into quite a few of the bands they liked in high school. Beatles. The Rolling Stones. Uriah Heep. Yes. Bad Company. Stuff like that. After my attempt failed I was left a emotional, confused, lost and desperate mess. I tried to find something to calm the appertaining rage, agony, and sorrow of my lost innocence. I tried to kill myself after a very close friend of mine was killed by her own father. A relative of mine showed me something called yoga. Also transcendental meditation. He gave me some New Age Relaxation tapes, and some metal tapes that for some reason he said also kind of worked for him. I tried these musics and these mystical acts and right from the get-go I felt changed for the better. Not just the exercises but the spirit and the divinity of the music itself helped me. I can pretty much say that music saved my life. To name a few bands that I like. I like Nightwish, After Forever, Evanescence, Within Temptation, Hawkwind, and Starcastle. I like a lot of the Progressive Rock, Goth Metal, Psychadelic Rock, and Symphonic/Power Metal.
