My parrots a blue-headed pionus. He's lived in a pet store the first year of his life and his species is rare around here, so the pet store didn't give him proper care for this breed not knowing any better. He was so ecstatic and happy to be out of there he loved everyone and just liked to be pet and cuddled.Oberyn (my parrot) is now two, having had him a year now, and he is only friendly about 10 minutes before he starts visiously biting. He's left multiple scars on my hands and has even drawn blood many times. When ever a new person goes to pet them he doesn't even give them 10 minutes and instantly starts to attack them, as well as my brother (who he use to love), I'm afraid to take him to a vet for help because not a lot of this breed is known where I live, and I'm afraid they'll put him down. I love my parrot to bits and just want his old loving self back. What should I do to get him to stop biting and be more friendly?
