I just got a stray kitten he is 8 weeks old he is used to my house now and loves cuddles and play time with me and purrs so much and so loud! But yet I can't get him to come to me unless I have a treat, toy or get him myself. I don't understand why also wen I leave him alone he will run off and find a hiding place and won't come out! Please help me.

My one cat won't come to me either, some cats are just like that. She was also a stray, maybe they are nervous. It's been years and when we are in the garden she'll only come to me if I'm sitting down. Cats are very strange creatures. You haven't mentioned how long you've had the kitten for, but he is still very young in a new environment still so give him time. My cat would hide when people came over for about three years, they are very odd.
Mine is a orange tabby cat
Cats aren't dogs, they are very much their own creature. After owning many cats over the years my experience is that as they get older they will seek you out for strokes and cuddles, they will come to miss you when you aren't around but when they are young.. nah, they love to tease and are possesive with their affection. Give him time and he'll come around to you, you can't make him love you and cats do not give unconditional love which is the main reaason i like them so much. You have to work to make them love you back. Patience is key.
Thank you so much and he's been with me for 2 weeks
