Why wont colleges give me information about the yearly cost?

I live in New Zealand and our universities don't have a basic cost. Why? Because your requirements depend on what you want to take for a degree? Have you decided what you want to do? Just so you know some of the work may be in a Text book, and some text books cost Thousands of dollars.Some courses do. If you want some idea ask a University cost per Degree? They usually send out Brochures.
