Why when I type in an address, do I get redirected to another site?

Question

I typed in email.tamuk.edu and got several different ad based sites. I do not want to got to the other sites or I would of typed in their sites. help me stop this problem

Answer

The address might not exist anymore, or has changed the name.  Otherwise, it's a webpage hijacker.  You should check your computer for viruses.
