You need a correct disposal of chemicals, because with all the chemicals (like acid, mica...etc) it will cause a problem if you mix it with garbage (like a crisp packet, bottle of water...etc).
Because that's what lab for! Working in lab, you're not only demanded to do anything correctly but also accordingly.
