bt what is d reason behind it's colourlessness?

Our eyes have evolved to see in air. The atmosphere does not drastically attenuate wavelengths visible to us.

Because air is made up of gases. You see fog because of the tiny water particles in the air. You only see fog when the humidity is high. Air is made up of mainly oxygen and nitrogen and both gases are invisible to the human eye. These particles (oxygen or nitrogen) are very small and spaced far apart form each other so that allows for light to pass in between them very easily making the gas look invisible. When these gases are put together to make "air", the particles remain spaced apart from each other once again making air look invisible.
