what was the reasons why paul wanted to know the power of His resurrection

There is no particular answer to such a question. The bible says:
2 Peter 1:3
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
All things, get it? Anything you don't find in the bible does not pertain unto life and godliness. And it is not reliable to ask other people to explain the bible to you, because everybody is pushing an agenda. You just have to read it yourself. Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read every day. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians.
I will say for him to defend the faith of Christianity. Paul want us to know the Power of Jesus resurrection, is from above. Without understanding the power of His resurrection our faith is baseless, Christianity is meaningless, and we can not be able to prove Jesus was raised from the dead. 1 Corinthians 15.
