Why should we not talk fast when we are eating?

hi,mohana.while eating our respiratory passage closes to prevent the entry of food.u know that our voice comes from the air in the larynx.so, if speak faster while eating there is a chance of entry of food in to air passage leading to choking and finally death.that's it.....!

It's our good manner not to talk fast when we're eating.
