First time posting
Question has been bouncing around in my head for awhile.
When people look for answers they look in religion
but that's not really a answer, its more like guidelines
There is a actual answer to every question even if we don't have that answer as yet but we try to get there with a absolute, then new evidence is found the answer is updated
Would like to know what people thought, when knowledge is shared we all gain health, truth, happiness Thanks
Why isn't advancing knowledge worshipped as a religion?

You have a bit of a problem: you are presuming the answers even as you ask the question.
Religion is men telling each other what to do. Religion may or may not be associated with some spiritual program. There are many programs loosely called "religion" but they are actually philosophies, or ways of looking at life, or meditations, or other. No answers, not even guidelines. Only ways to relax and feel good.
Now, remembering that religion is men telling each other what to do, consider the word 'academic'. Akademos was a grove outside Athens, Greece and it was sacred to the goddess of wisdom. Membership was by invitation only. Members firmly believed they owned all knowledge. Discoveries by outsiders were rejected. This system has come down to modern times without even changing its name. Membership is still by invitation. A PhD candidate who has passed all his exams can still be denied a degree just because insiders don't like the way he thinks. All knowledge is recorded in books somewhere and members command belief until some member has persuaded the in crowd that new knowledge has replaced the old.
Bottom line: knowledge is indeed worshiped as a religion, but that does not mean what you thought it meant.
