It seems that with my headset, it doesn t receive the voices from my friends or the game voice, yet it emits the sound from my tv speakers, causing echo.

Its hard to answer this without knowing your OS and what controls are within your windows recording mixer that would allow your audio device manger to control whats allowed IN and whats allowed OUT...Sounds like you've got a WAV /AUX IN box muted or not routed to your master OUT....Your speakers play because they're directly configured to send a signal to your headset (FROM THE JACK analog).(from the soundcard)..The game voices and people talking to you (like on skype) have to come from an INPUT source (within the computer) then routed OUT, usually though an AUX OUT....With my recording software, I have to assign whether my sound IN will come from a input source from the sound card OR from a USB device...If I record a track with a USB mic , I have to assign the output to my sound card (where my speakers are hooked up)....If I let the USB device handle the output, I hear nothing....See how it works?...Yeah, go into your REC mixer and see if any AUX /WAV /MP3 OUT boxes are muted....Hope this helps!
