Why is Youtube being so restrictive lately? What is the reason? What is the real reason?

We all know that the internet is an evolving platform, and that changes sometimes are necessary to better the experience of everyone, still one thing is progression for the better good and an other solo party beneficial changes, Youtube have made many changes in the last year, changes that makes the work of content creator more and more and more difficult... why? We are the audience, we like the style of the content, making it more difficult for Youtuber to express their ideas force then to change, sometimes drastically, wasn't Youtube the platform where you could make a personality of yourself you show to others ? every person is unique. why restrain the creator to a point where they all have to have the same content. many channels are dying because of this. doesn't anyone have the chance to be themselves anymore ?

Just for the record, I'm no content creator, but i do admire them.

That's the way the cookie crumbles online (pun intended).
A developer starts with something pure, a concept of what they'd like to have and cannot find. They assemble a small team and start to build it. 99% of the time it fails to reach fruition or "catch". When it does, the radicals, like minded thinkers find and use it as they will. Gradually, popularity increases amidst other circles. Some of these circles require moderation, and the devs are impelled to adjust utility & freedom for the sake of further publicity. Other circles, very large ones, exhibit herd mentality, so by an unspecified rule the content adjusts itself to their desires, the lowest common denominator, to which you refer as "evolution".
So we wait for the next cool thing to emerge. With the hope supervision and standardisation don't attain omnipresence.
