The episode schedule for the Grimm TV show starts in October, then stops for weeks at a time, then starts up again. It does this over and over during a season. In any given week, one never knows for sure if it will air. For example, the show should have aired an episode last night (Friday, 5/7/16). But there was nothing. This is really disrespectful of the show's audience. Here it is May (7 months after the season premiere), and NBC is still playing games with scheduling.

I just want to know if there is any rational explanation.
