The person you understand as yourself as has been defined thru history, James Joyce said you have t understand history to escape from it..very strong words coming from an Irish man...so much history..though America very new country defined through eductional structure with th flag in corner of every class room. no other country except for dictators demand the national flag and allegiance of their children except for chairman Mao to adhere so srictly t the social strucure. Europe comfortable to an extant accept there nationality of countries around them are defined after the destuction of world war 2 in europe.so the influence of society is historical but u may have jewish friend or maybe hispanic , afro , carribean ...when ur 6 year old u dont see all this u just talk t friend u find thats playing together communication and as u grow older ur talk less t ur friend as not same group.look at palestinian judaic relationships ..2 social devides though if u took 2 children from either side border they will naturally play together and make friendships b4 being integrated and indoctrinated into th 2 tribes t gro up blow up kill as they learn hatred from their fathers and it continues through social divide without COMMUNICATION society can survive together thru communication tolerance trust and even mutual trade through negotion communication rather than quote Winston Churchill 'war is hell' but he also said it was a failing of trade...mutual assured desruction kept NATO and USSR frm blowing planet .apart but unification of germany was thru communication.of people talking can save lives whilst society and running with th crowd can end up killing people because u were orderd to , we can save our selves and more together thru communication..............that should gv u few hints t finish ya assignment communication t talk can find answers with people u dnt trust while society tries t keep u t th norm within closed system scared of others outside turning ur fear into hatred and war the opposite of
that is definision of diplomacy
