Why is puloto not a planet any longer?

The categorization of planets has changed. Pluto is now considered a dwarf planet. Essentially, Pluto has enough mass to form a generally spherically shape, but not enough mass to be gravitationally independent of nearby masses.

So, too big to be a satellite (moon) and too small to be a planet.
