Why is my Toshiba tv picture so dark ?

if it is a crt type.......maybe low emission on crt .
ask a repairman to rejuvenate its crt

if it is an lcd type......maybe bad ccfls or inverters . call toshiba service
You should look for tv repair shops in your area.
