I have a problem on MyLabsPlus that is asking me to use my calculator to solve for: 1.0x10^-15 divided by 4.2x10^-7 I type it in my calculator as 1.0EE-15/4.2EE-7 and my calculator shows me the answer 2.380952381E-9. This answer is incorrect when I type it in on MyLabsPlus. My calculator is in scientific mode as well. I have spent an hour trying to google this problem and watch videos but cannot find anyone having the same problem. My calculator only does this for some scientific notation problems. With other problems it works fine. For example I type in 4.2EE4/8.4EE-3 and press enter, I get 5E6 which is an acceptable answer. Does anyone know what to do about this?
Why is my TI 84 Plus calculator giving me the incorrect scientific notation?
