5 days ago I got home from work and my cat was acting weak and vomiting every time she tried to eat. I knew something was wrong. I got up the next morning and she seemed a little better. I got home from work that night and she was still vomiting when she would eat. The next day my mother-in-law took her to the vet for me and they ran tests and gave her a shot for her nausea and also gave her an anxiety shot. The vet said everything checked out and they didn't know what was wrong with her. They gave me an antibiotic to give her in case she had an infection. I have been giving her the antibiotic since the vet visit and she is eating now. Last night I noticed that she is salivating and she has never done this before. Any ideas?

that vet should have kept her & took blood tests. Distemper,Parvo rabies and poison all have those symptons. If rabies the cat will have trouble drinking water.do ont get saliva on you if rabies as is highly catching and humans go through pure hell with it and is a fatal, agonizing disease. The eating is encouraging as distemper, parvo and rabies they get skinny rapidly.perhaps she ate a poisoned mouse? If in North Texas & need help I have contact with an org that will help you with the vet and recovery, based in Dallas but HQ is California.
