Why is it important to find new ways of generating electricity?

If new ways are not found out and the old ways run out, the world would go dark. for example, if we use up all the fuel in the world as in crude oil, then we need to use solar power foe verything. Solar power is nowhewre compared to fuel. So it is essential for us now to find new ways to generate electricity.
