America's general mentality is that if you plan on waiting until marriage you're some sort of prude or a loser that "can't get any". Why? Why is it bad to take sex seriously nf think it should be special and also taken seriously? I'm seventeen, petite, by peoples standards "cute",normal girl and I don't find it crazy that I plan on waiting. Call me old fashioned but I don't want STDs and I also only want to express that sort of love with someone I plan on being with forever. Why is that unreasonable or strange?

it's not bad that you want to wait for marriage to have sex. and it's not old fashioned because you don't want STD's that's being smart. i have more respect for people who do it the way you want to. alot of this i think comes from the media like movies, TV, and music. if you have to lose your virginity to fit in then that's not the group of friends to have.
you can't become a virgin again. once you lose your virginity you can't get it back.
thank you
Being a virgin is NOT bad. Being a virgin to IDIOTS are bad. Let them say what they want. It sounds like you know what you want. I respect that and admire a person like you more. Ask my ex-gf. We were together for almost 6home years and I did not bothered her or forced her. I loved her more for it. It sucks we moved apart and distance ruined us. Anyways, you are correct that the American image and stereotype is that sex is everything. Heck, this country is built on sex, drugs, and rock & roll. But I can tell you for sure not everyone is into rock & roll! :)
Being a virgin is a very honorable commitment and whoever your future spouse is will probably think that is the greatest gift you could ever give them when you tell them on your wedding night (or whenever) that you are a virgin. You are a very smart young woman, and even though the world might push on you, you can push back :) keep it up!
Hey I'm 19 years old and still a Virgin and proud of it. I mean one day when I get married and only after will I have sex with the woman I love and married. I know it may be childish but that little jingle from when we were young, first comes love then comes marriage then comes the baby in the baby carriage, has great morals behind it. But society has disgraced those morals in TV and in movies. We need to get back to that thought of mind again so we can exercise Those morals instead of what we have today.
I hear that
any suggestion to bcom virgin again?
