How to answer such a question in an interview

You could say something like: You were looking for a new opportunity to grow and broaden your knowledge. Or you felt you needed a new opportunity to reach your full potential in your career or something like that. Try and word it in a way that makes you look as if you are keen and enthusiastic for new challenges, learning, stepping up to management, or whatever. Employers usually like enthusiastic, motivated staff but be careful not to sound as if you are coming in and taking over the managers role. :-)
Good reasons:
1. You wanted more money.
2. No advancement there.
3. Drop in business.
4. (If a different city) to be closer to family.
5. Almost anything where you made your own decision.
Bad reasons:
1. Disagreement over management policies.
2. Personality clash.
3. Almost anything where you blame somebody else.
