I'm 24 years old. I have been seeing this guy for 4 months now and he's a gentleman and is respectful. I have met his friends and some of his family already. He recently invited me on a 3 day cruise that he will be going on with his two friends and their ladies. My mom is opposed saying that he will not want to marry me if I am "easy" and if I sleep around with him. So basically she doesn't want me to go on the cruise. I am not thinking about marriage just yet, my relationship with this guy is going good, I like the way things are going. Is my mom being irrational or does she have a point? HELP!

I believe your mom has a point, but it is your choice. If you really want to go and are sure that you will be safe out in the middle of the sea with a guy you've only known for 4 months then go ahead. I believe your mom is mostly concerned for your safety rather than what he will think of you. Personally, I would not go on a cruise with a guy I've only known for four months even if his family was going too, much less sleep with him and risk getting pregnant. I'd wait and get to know him better before doing anything like this.
