Why does my stove oven pilot keep turning off ? It won't stay on for more than 10 seconds?

There is a temperature sensor that shuts off the gas to the pilot when the flame goes out. That's ok, you don't want a pilot wasting gas all the time. Use matches. If you are feeling rich you can pay a repairman to replace the sensor.
